I hope this holiday season finds everyone enjoying some time with friends and family. Please have a safe and fun new year’s celebration!
I’d also like to write to you about a recent question about the financial aid component of the GAANN application process. Some applicants felt that their estimated contribution from the FAFSA was not accurate due to changing jobs, family situations, etc. We discussed this with the financial offices at CU and would like to provide the following guidance to you about this issue. Read more below!
The office said: “If an applicant feels that the information on the FAFSA is not reflective of the financial conditions that will exist during the period of graduate study, he/she may call the Professional Judgement Office at the University of Colorado Office of Financial Aid. The telephone number is 303-492-2120. An advisor will determine whether the applicant is eligible to file an appeal, and if so explain how that is done.”
Please write to us at gaann “at” colorado.edu if you have additional questions or comments.
